Ric Flair has been interviewed by ScrippsNews.com and Flair was saying he’s just itching to get back in the ring. “I want to wrestle again,” said Flair. “I watch WWE and I can still do better than 90 percent of the guys there. I weigh one less pound than the day I retired. I still work out really hard and I wrestle my kid (Reid) all the time. It’s not like I haven’t been in the ring.”

And then of course there’s the financial aspect to getting back into wrestling. Flair dishes out $22,000 a month in alimony payments to 2 ex-wives, but is getting big money offers to return to the ring. “People in Europe are offering me a fortune. I’m tired of signing autographs. I can make more money wrestling. I love the business. I was thinking the other day about the reason why God gave me this health. I don’t hurt anywhere. I haven’t lost any strength. I’m just like I was 10 years ago. I keep thinking, ‘Why am I signing autographs when I can still take backdrops?”

Flair has even gone as far as sending Vince McMahon a text message recently asking him why he wasn’t a part of the 2009 WWE Draft. Vince reportedly responded by reminding Flair that he’s retired. At this point, the only thing holding him back is the blessing from WWE and Shawn Michaels. “I respect Shawn and WWE so much that I wouldn’t do anything to disrespect them. They would have to give me full approval (to wrestle again). They put me in a special place. I think it’s going to be a long time before we see something come across again like what they did for me (with the retirement ceremony). I didn’t think it would be that big a deal. We’ll see how this turns out.”

Flair’s son Reid was arrested yet another time last month (this time for DWI and felony heroin possession) and the Nature Boy spoke candidly about Reid’s drug problem. Ric and Reid had been working on a reality TV show project, but that is now on hold. “It all depends on how he gets himself put back together. The biggest thing about that is that it’s a disease. It’s not so hard for me to say that after being at an outpatient clinic with him where they talk about a chromosome deficiency causing stuff like that. It’s curable, but he’s going to have to work real hard at it. He’s doing that.”

A while back, we reported that Christian Cage’s TNA contract was about to expire and he might leave TNA Wrestling and head over to the WWE. Well, there’s been more evidence that Christian Cage is indeed on his way out of TNA.

Sources say he will most likely be heading back to WWE in the next few months, as they’re going to offer the best deal for his family. Cage apparently has informed Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett that it’s in his best interest to consider WWE’s offer.

And TNA is taking the safe bet in this situation as Christian Cage was left in a bad situation at the taping of Next Thursday’s show. Mafia without Sting comes to the ring and Kurt Angle calls out Christian Cage. Angle asks Christian where’s the suit they gave him. He talks about commitment and says he is questioning Cage’s commitment since he heard that when Cage’s TNA deal is up, he’s jumping to WWE. Angle says this isn’t a welcoming party but in fact a goodbye party. As they all attack Cage and lay him out, they go about posing over him.

Is this the end of Christian Cage at TNA? We’ll just have to wait and see.

In the words of her own publicist, Adult film starlet Trina Michaels is giving up the gangbangs to enter the battle royals!

Apparently over the past five months Trina has been in her own personal cage match deciding if she should stay in porn or take several offers to enter the pro wrestling arena. And according to inside sources, wrestling is where her heart is at right now.

In a statement to her fans (a.k.a. Trina-Maniacs) on MySpace, Trina wrote: “I cant say this is my 100% retirement from porn but I will be gone for awhile. I’ve been a wrestling fan for 8 years and over the past year I have meet some really cool people in the WWE, TNA (Total NonStop Action) and several local promotions. I’ve been training for 3 months so far and I am about to take the training to the next level. I hope my fans will follow me in my journey into wrestling and promise I will kick ass.”

The September 2008 issue of the WWE Magazine has just been sent out to its loyal subscription base. In this edition, the magazine cover features The Undertaker with a cover as the cover story featuring a look back at the shocking WWE TV returns that “blew our minds”. What makes Ashley Massaro a headline in this is because she is also featured in several columns throughout the magazine. We’re taking it to mean her release from contract was completely unexpected.

The other fun bit of news is reportedly former wrestler Bill Goldberg and former boxer Sugar Ray Leonard are to be the celebrity contestants for this Wednesday’s (July 30th) taping of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader!! This is the last taping of the season, and as always, any and all tickets for the show are free! The show tapes in Hollywood and the minimum age to attend is 12.

This recent video of Chyna was taken during an autograph signing, with dozens of Playboy’s on the table next to her, has recently surfaced on the Internet. Chyna talks about her wrestling comeback in Japan and life in general.

It seems to us Chyna is back in shape for returning to the WWE. In fact, we’d go as far as to say she’s starting to look like the Chyna of the WWF, with an extra bit of feminine. Maybe her rehab actually worked?
