A while back, we reported that Christian Cage’s TNA contract was about to expire and he might leave TNA Wrestling and head over to the WWE. Well, there’s been more evidence that Christian Cage is indeed on his way out of TNA.

Sources say he will most likely be heading back to WWE in the next few months, as they’re going to offer the best deal for his family. Cage apparently has informed Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett that it’s in his best interest to consider WWE’s offer.

*Spoilers* Hit the Jump for the results of Christian Cage’s Future Match

And TNA is taking the safe bet in this situation as Christian Cage was left in a bad situation at the taping of Next Thursday’s show. Mafia without Sting comes to the ring and Kurt Angle calls out Christian Cage. Angle asks Christian where’s the suit they gave him. He talks about commitment and says he is questioning Cage’s commitment since he heard that when Cage’s TNA deal is up, he’s jumping to WWE. Angle says this isn’t a welcoming party but in fact a goodbye party. As they all attack Cage and lay him out, they go about posing over him.

Is this the end of Christian Cage at TNA? We’ll just have to wait and see.

We’ll stop here and announce that if you haven’t seen Night of Champions yet, and still plan to, read no further. But if you’re interested in who won, read on.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match
John Morrison & The Miz vs. Finlay & Hornswoggle

The Champions Morrison and Miz come out first followed by Hornswoggle and Finlay.
The match starts off and continues to be very physical right up till the final minutes. Towards the end, Morrison picks Horswoggle up but drops him and Finlay manages to get tagged in. Finlay connects with a powerslam on Morrison for a near fall. Finlay then goes off the middle rope and lands with a kick to Morrison for another 2 count. Frustrated, Finlay lifts Morrison over his head and hits with a big slam. But in comes Miz for the save, but Finlay takes him out. He picks Morrison up and hits his signature move. Hornswaggle goes up for the Tad Pole splash but Morrison grabs him by the throat and slams him to the mat. And as Hornswaggle was tagged in as the legal man he was pinned by Morrison for the 3 count.

Winners: John Morrison & The Miz

United States Championship Match
Matt Hardy vs. Chavo Guerrero

In this match, you could tell both contenders wanted to put on a show. In the final moments of the match, Matt Hardy goes for his second rope elbow drop, and connects on Chavo. But even with the heavy elbow, He only gets another 1 count. Chavo manages to set Hardy up in the corner but before he can take advantage of the situation, Hardy connects with an elbow. Hardy climbs the ropes but the recovered Chavo pulls him off and locks in a half nelson crab. But Hardy gets to the ropes and hits a nice DDT on Chavo. As Hardy puts his arm over Chavo for the pin, we think its over…But no, two count. Hardy excites the crowd as he goes for his Twist of Fate. BUT He doesn’t get it, as Chavo takes him down and locks in the half Boston Crab once again – in the middle of the ring!

But somehow Hardy gets his right hand on the ropes and hits a drop kick on Chavo. Both men are now down. Chavo gets a suplex on Hardy. He goes for another but Hardy counters with a Twist of Fate. And boom, Hardy gets the three count!

Winner: Matt Hardy

ECW Championship Triple Threat Match
Kane (c) vs. Big Show vs. Mark Henry

A match where Kane is the smallest man is worth watching.
From the sound of the bell, Big men are dropping like flies from the force of boxing-inspired attacks, head-butts, DDT’s, and pure power inspired throws out of the ring.
As Kane was thrown out of the ring, he’s limping around the outside, but seems determined to finish the match as he waved off medical attention. Kane throws Mark Henry into a vicious boot from The Big Show. Kane and Big Show hit a double chokeslam on Henry. Big Show goes for the cover but Kane makes the save.

Big Show and Kane start to battle it out in the ring as The Big Show hits high kicks to the midsection of Kane but ends up eating a boot to the face and a spinning heel kick that takes him to the ground. Kane goes off the top rope, right into a Big Show chokeslam. But Kane kicks out before the three count. Kane gets up, but Big Show hammers him into the corner. Big Show connects with a back suplex and manages another two count that Kane kicks out of!

Big Show goes to the top rope but Kane suplexes him off the top. And just as we think its Kane for the win, out of nowhere Mark Henry hits a splash on Kane and gets the three count.

Winner and new ECW Champion: Mark Henry

WWE World Tag Team Championship Match
Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly vs. Ted DiBiase & Mystery Partner

Well teamwork sure has an interesting meaning nowadays. As this match is about to begin, Ted DiBiase picks up the mic and says that his partner just text messaged him and he says that he is 10 minutes away. DiBiase asks if they can just wait, but Marty Elias says they can’t wait. So DiBiase asks if they can start with him going solo.

As the match starts, DiBiase doesn’t want to start against Cody but he wants Hardcore Holly. As soon as Holly tags Cody in, Cody hits a DDT on Hardcore Holly! Then, DiBiase announces Cody Rhodes as his partner. So Cody tags in DiBiase. DiBiase applies the Million Dollar Dream on Holly and then gets the three count!

Winners and NEW World Tag Team Champions: Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes

Intercontinental Championship Match
Chris Jericho vs. Kofi Kingston

This match starts as Chris Jericho comes out and says as the reigning IC Title he was told to come out here and defend his title against a surprise opponent. He says that he knows it’s not going to be HBK Shawn Michaels. Jericho tells the fans to chant it all they want but Shawn can’t be bothered with a 30 min-45 min flight from San Antonio because of a supposed eye injury.

Well, Kofi comes out instead and the match goes through the usual lockups, knockdowns and near falls.
As the match draws to a close, a huge Hurricanrana from Kingston sets Jericho up for another near fall. But Jericho kicks Kofi in the ribs in retaliation, hits a scoop slam and a Lion Sault, followed by a Walls of Jericho. He locks it in, the referee checks for submission. Shawn Michaels is out, super kick on Lance Cade. He gets on the apron, Jericho knocks him off, but he can’t see the Trouble in Paradise arriving and Kingston is the new InterContinental Champion!

Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston

WWE Women’s Championship Match
Mickie James vs. Katie Lea

Ah women wrestlers…Is there anything better to watch? Well again with the usual lockups, knockdowns and hair pulling. But the final few moments of this match saw Katie attacking Mickie in the corner and as she throws her to the opposite, Mickie counters with a kick and a hurricanrana. Mickie gets a clothesline. Mickie manages to get the cover for a two count. She goes for her DDT but she ends up getting caught in a submission maneuver on her left arm. Mickie tries to get out but Katie applies it again.

They’ve lost the crowd as Katie Lea works on Mickie. She goes for a suplex and eats the tornado DDT. Three count from Mickie to retain.

Winner: Mickie James

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Edge vs Batista

From the start, Edge is clearly NOT the favorite of the crowd. This continues all through the match as cheers come every time Batista is winning, and boos every time Edge gets the upper hand.

As Edge goes for a spear, Batista defends himself with a kick. Batista goes to the top rope but doesn’t get anything except a boot to the face from Edge. Here comes Hawkins, Ryder, wheeling Vickie Guerrero to ringside. They shoot at Edge from ringside as Edge goes for the spear again. Batista gets in a Batista Bomb though. He gets a two count but Vickie Guerrero pulls the referee out of the ring. Edge goes for the spear on Batista on interference but misses into the ring post. Edge is close to getting counted out but he pulls the referee to the outside and attacks him. Vickie Guerrero asks for another referee as Batista is in the ring. Chavo Guerrero’s music plays and out comes Chavo in a referee shirt.

Batista puts his hands on Vickie Guerrero and pulls her into the ring. Bam, Hawkins, Ryder, and Chavo urge him to stop. He throws her onto them on the outside. Edge catches Batista right between the eyes with the World Title. Chavo gets in and counts the three count!

Winner: Edge

WWE Championship Match
Triple H vs. John Cena

This was a good fight, worth watching if you can. Both Triple H and Cena put on a good show.
As the match wears on, Cena goes for the STFU, but Triple H fights it off. Cena gets it half way locked in but Triple H battles to the ropes, so the hold was broken. Cena pulls Trilpe H up for the FU, but Triple H counters and hits the Pedigree. The ref goes “1, 2,” but Cena kicks out. As both men get back to their feet a FU comes from Cena on Triple H. Again – a 2 count but Triple H manages to kick out! Both men are down again, the ref starts another double count out.

At eight Cena is back to his feet, so is Hunter but he’s got knee injuries. They exchange right hands. HHH backs Cena down with rights but they both continue to go at it.

Boom! Out of nowhere Cena hits a tremendous suplex slam. Cena goes for the 5 Knuckle Shuffle, and connects. Cena goes for the FU but Triple H hangs on. Triple H kicks Cena, goes for the FU but Cena counters and gets the STFU locked in. Chioda checks for submission. They’re in the middle of the ring…

No, its not the end yet. Triple H nearly makes it to the ropes but Cena pulls him away and goes for it again. HHH counters and applies the cross-face. The crowd is WILD. HHH wrenches back on the cross-face. Cena appears to be fading but somehow he makes it to his feet. Cena’s gets HHH up for the FU, Triple H battles out with elbows, he hits the Pedigree. Three count and Triple H wins!!!

Winner: Triple H

And there you have it folks, WWE’s Night of Champions From Dallas, TX. Hope you get a chance to catch it.
