Update On John Cena’s Neck Surgery for Disk Fragment Pushing Against Spinal Cord

Wow, i guess being a World Wrestling Entertainment superstar can a real pain in the neck. Just ask John Cena. According to WWE’s Web site, John Cena underwent a 90-minute procedure Tuesday to remove a large disc fragment that was pressing on his spinal cord. This was the injury that causing numbness in Cena’s right arm.
We are happy to report that the surgery went so well that Cena was able to visit backstage with WWE performers Tuesday night before their Smackdown taping in Pittsburgh.
Now for the bad news: Cena is expected to miss the next 2 to 4 months for recovery, but has been known to be a fast healer. He returned well ahead of schedule from a torn pectoral muscle suffered last October.

Major Update On John Cena’s Neck Injury

We’ve just learned that John Cena will now be heading to San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday to have his neck looked at by Dr. Lloyd Youngblood, the surgeon who worked on the major neck surgeries for “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Edge, Lita, and others. WWE.com is reporting that Cena will also be flying to Pittsburgh tomorrow to be examined by neurosurgeon Dr. Joseph Maroon.
WWE’s website posted some comments from Cena regarding his injury:
“It needs to be dealt with because I lost most of the feeling in my right arm and am having pain in my shoulder….I’m losing 20 percent of my strength per day. If I don’t do anything about it, the injury will end up rupturing and then the surgery will be more difficult. It’s not easy, because surgery never is.”
“Every moment I stay away from the table is another moment something bad can happen. The disk is so bulged out and inflamed that any sudden move could make it worse.”
John Cena Suffering From Serious Neck Injury

We’re hearing reports that WWE Superstar John Cena is having some serious problems with his neck, which has even caused numbness in one of his arms!
Is serious enough that Cena went to get an MRI done Saturday before Raw at Madison Square Garden. He returned to the arena and said, “Long story short, my neck is (expletive) up badly.”

WWE Diva Mickie James Starts Blog, Talks About Dating John Cena, Trish Stratus

WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James has started her own blog on her WWE Fan Nation account. She started off by answering a few frequently asked questions regarding Trish Stratus and John Cena.
On Trish she said, “It was and honor to start in a major program with Trish Stratus. We are still wonderful friends and she taught me a lot about the world of WWE.”
As for John Cena, she said, “Now lastly many of you all want to now what exactly is going on between John and myself. Like I said before a true lady doesn’t kiss and tell. But what I will tell you is this. The truth is we have really become great friends. He is truly an amazing man. Like no one I have ever known and I am grateful to have him in my life. When you step into this crazy world you soon find that the genuine people are few and far between. He is Real… I adore him for that…”
