Update – Jesse Ventura On Hulk “The Rat” Hogan

Jesse The Body Ventura

Recently we posted about Jesse Ventura’s interview and his beliefs on Hulk Hogan, well here’s even more.

In an interview with WrestlingWorldInsanity.com, Jesse Ventura had some rather harsh words for Hulk Hogan. After years of speculation, Ventura has revealed that it was none other than Hulk Hogan who ratted him out to Vince McMahon for wanting to form a wrestlers union in the late 1980s. The union issue was one of the major factors that contributed to McMahon and Ventura’s strained relationship back in the day:

“Let me say this. Hogan was the biggest thing ever in wrestling. You know, in our era, there’s no doubt about that. Hulkamania on all that, but it’s like my agent in Hollywood would say. When everyone was Hulkamania this, Hulkamania that, my agent kept saying, “Yeah. That’s great. But this Jesse Ventura is truly more talented.” Hogan and I have not been on good terms for a long, long time ever since I tried to unionize wrestling and he’s the one who ratted me to Vince. So, at that time, I realized this so-called friend was indeed not a friend; that he was completely in it for himself. But that’s the nature of the business. You know, it is a cut-throat business and I accept that. I don’t have a great deal of respect for Hogan, today, and one of the reasons is because of that show he does, “Hogan Knows Best.” This is just my opinion, but I’d never exploit my family that way to the media. I think that’s grasping at stardom and attempting to stay on top.”

Ouch. Now I want to see the Hulkster’s response…

Jesse “The Body” Ventura Sounds Off

Jesse The Body Ventura

James Guttman had the pleasure of interviewing Jesse Ventura this week. Ventura has been known for “telling it like it is” and this interview was certainly no exception.
Ventura spoke about his new book “Don’t Start The Revolution Without Me”, today’s political scene, why he’s not running for president and more. Here’s some of the highlights:

Hulk Hogan’s Family on Television: “I would never exploit my family to that level.”

‘Uncomfortable’ pictures of Hulk and Brooke: “He reminds me of a pimp”

Hillary Clinton as President: “I think she’s qualified to be president, but here’s my rub on it. Are we a dual monarchy?”

McMahon’s Lack of Courage: “I pitched an entire angle to McMahon for this year’s WrestleMania….I’ll tell the truth to you. After I flew out there and met with him and went back, he never even returned a phone call to say no. I didn’t feel good. I feel like he dissed me and should have at least given me a phone call to say no…I never thought I’d say that Vince McMahon lacks courage. but here, I’ll say it. Vince McMahon lacks courage.”

Jesse Ventura for President in 2008?

by on Mar.17, 2008, under Wrestling News

Jesse The Body Ventura
Jesse Ventura is more than a bodybuilder. More than a Predator Slayer. More than a governor. Jesse Ventura is now an author too, and the central theme of his new book is trying to decide if the governor of Minnesota should run for President of the United States as an Independent later this year. Ventura writes:

“As I begin to write this book, I’m facing probably the most monumental decision of my 56 years on this planet. Will I run for president of the United States, as an independent, in 2008? Or will I stay as far away from the fray as possible, in a place with no electricity, on a remote beach in Mexico?”

Ventura lists the pros and cons on the issue throughout the book. “Don’t Start the Revolution Without Me!” is due out on April 1st.
