WWE Diva Candice Michelle

Candice Michelle wrote on her Twitter account recently that she is expecting to return to the ring sometime this month. The problem is, there is reportedly a lot of bad sentiment towards Candice Michelle right now, similar to what caused Vince McMahon to release Mr. Kennedy; her perception that she is often injured and a lousy worker.

So does that mean Candice Michelle is getting pushed out of the door of the WWE?

One company source told The Sun: “She doesn’t exactly help her cause when she’s running around in LA hanging out at bars and going to Dodger games… What happened to rehab and getting back in shape? There are guys on our roster with far worse injuries sucking it up and still coming to work.”

One of the few positive notes though, one of her biggest supporters in the company is said to be none-other than Stephanie McMahon.

When you’re not doing what you’re paid to do, it helps having the support of the boss’s daughter.

The rumor is that the reason for the 25-Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania was from the big reaction Trish Stratus received when they were in Toronto for Raw last December. Being ones to take advantage of big reactions, the WWE figured Wrestlemania would make a great place to bring back a number of their WWE Divas. Supposedly, Trish declined when she learned of WWE creative’s plan to have Santina Marella win the match, but that is not confirmed.

And worse still, Trish Stratus, Amy “Lita” Dumas and Wendi Richter — three of the bigger names they wanted to bring back — all declined.

Why? Read on.

In Richter’s case, the common theory is her age. She didn’t want to be put in a position to be embarrassed body wise by being compared to the women of today. Richter is 47 years old and understandably looks different than how she used to look during her prime in the mid-1980s.

Amy Dumas was busy with an appearance at Booker T’s charity fan fest event that took place in Houston during WrestleMania weekend.

Stratus’s reason seems to be one of image. It’s believed that some people were upset during negotiations as there were some negative things said about the seven-time Women’s Champion amongst management during WrestleMania weekend over her not being there.

Shame though. Legends of the Industry are always welcome at Wrestlemania, and it only would have made the weekend even better, regardless of who won.

The latest rumormill spinning is that Trish Stratus will be not only making an appearance at WrestleMania 25, but participating as well. WWE Diva Natalya had this to say on her WWE.com Universe blog: “I am very curious what will happen this year at Mania for the Divas. Like Trish, I will be keeping my eye on the Glamazon, too … Both of these women inspire me to exceed all of my own expectation and personal limits.”

And A few days later, she posted this as well:

“There is no doubt that facing Trish would be nothing short of amazing,” Natalya wrote. “Two Canadian women, fighting for everything we believe in, as true athletes would.”

She also talks about Beth Phoenix, writing: “I am very curious what will happen this year at Mania for the Divas. Like Trish, I will be keeping my eye on the Glamazon, too…and knowing that the best is yet to come. She makes me want to get hungry and forget my manners! Both of these women inspire me to exceed all of my own expectation and personal limits.”

Natalya also shares her thoughts on being moved from SmackDown to ECW as the valet of Tyson Kidd. The WWE Diva is excited to be with Kidd.

“Tyson Kidd is my best and closest friend from the Dungeon,” Natalya wrote. “He has known my family for almost eighteen years, which is hard to believe. It’s inspiring to watch someone’s dreams come true; especially when you have watched them fight so hard for something since they were a little kid.”

Nora Greenwald (a.k.a. WWE Diva Molly Holly) will be participating in a Polar Bear Plunge this Saturday to help raise money for the Special Olympics of Minnesota. Greenwald will be jumping into the freezing waters of White Bear Lake, Minn., at noon with others who feel jumping in the freezing water is a good idea.

“I had heard of the Polar Bear Plunge, but I always thought those people were crazy,” Greenwald said. “Then I read the book The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom and I realized I live a life of comfort, so why not be uncomfortable for a good cause.”

Greenwald will be wearing a “special costume” that she has made when she jumps in White Bear Lake. “I did…spend some time putting a costume together. I will be ‘Supergirl’,” Greenwald said. “Hmmm, I guess kind of like a Mighty Molly.”

Though Molly Holly doesn’t follow WWE or TNA on a regular basis anymore, Greenwald said today’s women’s wrestlers have picked up the torch her fellow alumnae left behind.

“I actually do not have a TV, but I did go to a RAW houseshow in Rochester, Minnesota. Beth Phoenix and Melina were amazing,” Greenwald said. “They have taken women’s wresting to the next level.”

While Greenwald doesn’t mind making one-off wrestling-related appearances every now and then, a possible return to squared circle doesn’t appear to be in the cards. Greenwald prefers life away from the road to instead focus on her career working with organizations dedicated to helping kids.

“I have actually had a few offers for a few different things,” Greenwald said. “I like doing one-shot cameos, but I think my full-time life on the road will remain in the past. I love working as a bus-aide on a special needs bus for the school district, and working in addiction recovery at Teen Challenge.”

Former WWE Diva, and current celebrity, Stacy Keibler will be doing her 1st wrestling convention since leaving the WWE this December 6 & 7 in East Hanover, New Jersey. Joining her is WWE Superstar Andrew “Test” Martin at the convention, the recently released Elijah Burke, Stacy “Miss Kitty” Carter (who turned up at her first wrestling-related event in seven years this past September), Ryan Shamrock, Jackie Haas, Carmel “Miss Jones” Macklin (the former manager of Ernest “The Cat” Miller in WCW), Leticia Cline, Shawn Stasiak, Roxxi Laveaux, Juventud Guerrera, and Terry Taylor. There’s an all-star lineup for us wrestling fans.

As a mini-story, but a great way to segment into our public congratulations for NEW UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, Former WWE Diva Rena Mero, better known as Sable is pregnant.

Immediately after Brock Lesnar’s UFC fight on Saturday night, Rena Mero (Sable) appeared on camera. UFC Champ Brock Lesnar kissed Sable on the lips and then kissed her stomach.

Both Sable and Lesnar children from past relationships, but this will be their first child together. Congratulations to both them.

Ladies and Gentlemen, help us in welcoming to The WWE, Gail Kim. Gail Kim was reportedly backstage at Monday’s Raw taping in Tampa and was introduced as the newest addition to the Diva roster.

For those not up on her story, Gail Kim left TNA when the two sides were unable to work out a new contract arrangement.

There’s no word yet on which brand Kim will work for in WWE, or even when she’s going to start for that matter. But Welcome Back Gail!

Yes, her wresting status is long gone, but former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler is too hot to ignore. Featured on the cover of the November 2008 issue of Maxim Magazine, Stacy Keibler “has Hollywood in a submission hold, and no one is looking to tap out.
In the interview with Maxim, Stacy Keibler answers quesions such as “If a Maxim reader wanted to impress a nice girl like you, what should he do?”

Would you travel to the ends of the world with Trish Stratus? The Travel Channel is certainly betting you will. The Winnipeg Sun has the lucky opportunity to conduct an interview with former WWE Women’s champ Trish Stratus where she discusses her upcoming travel show The Stratusphere on the Travel Channel. The series will debut in Canada Monday on the Travel & Escape channel before coming to the U.S.

Stratus noted that she traveled the world with WWE, but rarely saw more than airports and hotels. “Initially we set out to do an adventure-activity show, and the fact I was willing to do all these cool things, that was the first idea,” Stratus said. “But then it kind of evolved into something slightly different, because once we got to these places, we realized these activities mean something really special in these cultures. So I was pleased to make it a deeper show. ”

Trish hopes the show will inspire people to travel. “I also hope it encourages people to realize there’s a great big beautiful world out there, so get out and explore it if you can. It always amazes me to go from one place to another and see how completely different they are.”

Sad news explains why we haven’t been blessed by WWE Diva Layla El’s presence. Layla has not been on television recently due to the death of her mother. A friend of Layla’s wrote on her MySpace page regarding the situation. She wrote, “Her mother passed away unexpectedly and she’s been out of the country dealing with everything.”

The post continues with:
“I wanted you all to be aware of what is going on and send out as much positive energy and prayer to help her get through this difficult time in her life. The WWE has really helpful and understanding with her taking a little time off right now but she will definitely be back in full force before September.”
