John Cena Interview, Bashes Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

John Cena’s Return to the Royal Rumble
The Sun got another opportunity to talk with WWE Superstar John Cena. Just like always, cena had a lot to say, especially regarding Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Cena said Johnson always wanted to be an actor and that he was the one who set the precedent of using professional wrestling as a stepping stone.

Cena was quoted saying, “…And Rock is one of those guy who gave the ‘I’ve wanted to do this all my life’ speech, but in actuality he wanted to be an actor. Now trust me, that is totally fine with me. It’s OK. But just don’t say one thing and do another. Because our fans are extremely loyal and when yo do that it pisses me off.”

Cena went on to say, “All of us work so hard to make the show as good as it can be. So it’s hard when people give the impression of ‘this is the greatest gig in the world’ and then jump ship to make movies. Now I have every interviewer in the world asking me when I’m leaving to make movies.”

And finally, “And the answer is I’m never doing that, because I love wrestling more than I do movies.” “It’s guys like that who set the precedent of using wrestling as a stepping stone to do films. But there’s no controversy to any of that—as Rock is a successful actor and that’s what he has always wanted to be.”

But the interview wasn’t just about The Rock, Cena also talked about his latest movie, the WWE-produced “12 Rounds”, Flair’s induction speech, the matches at WWE’s Judgment Day, and other things.
Cena spoke positively about John Morrison. “I’m actually quite interested in seeing The Miz and John Morrison in a high profile PPV match against Kane and CM Punk. I’ve never really been a fan of Morrison, but I always thought he had a lot of potential. I hope he understands the opportunity he’s getting and steps up to the plate.”

Nick Bollea, Son Of Terry The Hulk Hogan, To Serve 8 Months In Jail

Nick Bollea In Court

Nick Bollea was sentenced to 8 months in prison for charges of reckless driving from a street racing incident that left his yellow 1998 Toyota Supra wrapped around a tree and a passenger critically injured.
The jail time is to begin immediately and after, Bollea will also have another 5 years of probation and a suspended license for 3 years.
Bollea is, of course, the son of the Hulkster, who was also in attendance of the hearing dressed in black, head-to-toe (including his signature stocking cap). The lawsuit is still pending…

8 mos for reckless driving and 5 years parole is pretty tough, brother…

WWE Diva Trish Stratus is Flexible!!

WWE Diva Trish Stratus Doing Yoga

Vaughan Today had the opportunity to interview former WWE Diva Trish Stratus recently.

Trish’s new Yoga studio, called Stratusphere, opened this week and its buzz is undeniable. “The response has been fantastic. I just want to spread the word about yoga.”

A back injury forced Trish to leave WWE wrestling back in 2005. And after growing frustrated with the slow pace of traditional physical therapy, the former WWE women’s champion decided to try yoga’s special healing powers. “As soon as I started doing the yoga, I could feel that I was getting better. I could just feel a difference. No back pain since. Knock on wood. Nothing has come back.”

Not only is Trish the actual owner of the new yoga studio, but she is also currently working on her Ashtanga yoga instructor certification so she can be hands on with the students. Trish says “I’m sure I’ll be here quite a lot. The only thing taking me away is my new travel show — I may be out in Dubai or Bali. I was paragliding in the Himalayas last week.” The travel show (also called Stratusphere) debuts on Discovery HD and the Travel Channel this summer.
